The other day it was a chilly wet spring day in Manhattan, so naturally I reached for my red Converse Jack Purcells.
I picked up two pairs of these during the Red campaign (they are the perfect red) they've become my go-to shoe when my outfit needs some punch.
I think that when men dress pretty conservatively a little flash of color or a key accessory really makes him stand out - in a good way.
On this particularly dreary day, strangers smiled at me, dogs wagged their tails even more excitedly as I approached. Could it be my red sneakers?
I think they helped.
If you're typical weekday outfit consists of navy blue, grey, black and white, consider adding a pop of color (like red) to take things up a notch.
Of course, you don't have to wear red. You can use any color to add some flair and originality to your getups. But make sure it has enough richness and saturation to stand out.
Also, if you'd prefer not to wear brightly colored shoes, you can use a different accessory to add a pop of color to your outfit.
The point is, don't be afraid to add some rich color to your rainy day outfit!
