Father’s Day gift guide

Below we offer a few ideas for Father's Day, both affordable and not-so-affordable, practical and whimsical. Whether buying for Dad or treating yourself (we won't tell!), finding great gifts is never easy.  We don't think you can go wrong with these suggestions.

We welcome Shinola’s efforts to revitalize Detroit’s manufacturing glory, and we want their new GMT watch, The Rambler.  In addition to looking sharp, its 24-hour hand will let Dad track another time zone, which we’ll bet he thinks is a pretty cool thing, whether or not he’s a world traveler.

If looking for a fail-safe gift, you can never go wrong with a classic tie.  Ours is properly sized (4" shorter than usual), making it easy to tie and wear.  And it comes in terrific stripes and a fun flower pattern.  All classically narrow, which works best for the 'not-so-tall' guy.

Jack Spade makes great bags.  They are modern classics and elegantly functional.  Give Dad a refreshed take on the briefcase and watch it liven up his commute.

Check out our Peter Manning PJs and Sweatpants.  They are wildly comfortable and fit perfectly.  He'll wear them every day and think of you.

A custom made bicycle is certainly a splurge, but it makes all the difference in your ride.  Independent Fabrications of New Hampshire sells 'made-to-measure' steel and titanium road and mountain bikes.  Like our clothes, these bikes look great and fit right!

Our Short Sleevers and Polos are the ideal gift for summer.  Both can be worn all season long, and then under a sweater as the weather gets cooler.  He'll look sharp in a proper fitting shirt, making Mom happy too.. No more over-sized, baggy shirts!

Help him keep that phone charged all day.  We love this convenient extra charge battery pack from Mophie. It's sleek, lightweight and bound to come in handy.  Never be without power again!

A truly beautiful pen is a gift for life. Give him a Mont Blanc Meisterstuck Platinum Line Classique Ballpoint Pen so when he co-signs your loan (or doodles on a napkin), he will remember how great it is to be your Dad.

We’ve mentioned these in our swimwear round-up, but they're worth highlighting again.  Let Dad be the most stylish (and comfortable) grill master this summer, with these high-end swim trunks from Vilebrequin. This French company offers matching father and son sets too.
