Shorts. So simple, yet so easy to get wrong.

Before we even start to discuss shorts. Say “NO” to pleats. Short men, tall men, in fact any man who wants to look great, should avoid pleats.

Now that we got that out of the way, a good length for shorts should hit about an inch above the knee. Though the short short is currently in fashion, it's better to avoid it.  If a short is too long it will just make you look shorter. Most major brands shorts are likely be too long, though some are making a shorter inseam, which is great. The Peter Manning short is cut from the same chino cloth as our pants. And it has a just right 7 1/2″ inseam.  I’ll be honest when I first start wearing them, they FELT short. But when I looked in the mirror they looked GREAT.  So accustomed are we to the too long shorts we’ve been wearing that it feels weird at first even though it looks right. I tried on an old pair of shorts I used to wear all the time and I was appalled at how long and baggy they were. Never again! Shorts are great.  Short that fit are even better. If a backyard ball game breaks out, these are rugged enough. And you can also man the grill and look sharp doing it.
